Founder & Managing Partner

Rekha Unnithan, CFA is the Founder and Managing Partner of Vivara. She spent 15 years building and leading the private equity impact platform at Nuveen, a TIAA company— one of the largest institutional impact PE platforms in the world — investing $1.2 billion across climate, affordability and resilience.

She has held board seats at more than ten purpose-driven companies, built relationships with 50+ impact GPs across the global ecosystem, and was a founding board member of the Operating Principles for Impact Management. She served as Chair of the Impact Council at the Global Private Capital Association.
